On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .

Search for a place or city, or tap it on the map.

At the bottom, tap the name of the place.

Under “Questions & answers," choose what you want to do: To find whether someone already asked your question: Tap See all questions.

Open the Google Maps app for Android.

On the map, in the bottom right corner above the navigation bar, you will find the Your location button, which looks like a target. If it is grey, not blue with a circle in the middle, you are out of the frame and not centered.

If you haven't already, add their Gmail address to your Google Contacts.

Tap your profile picture or initial Location sharing New share .

Choose how long you want to share your location.

Tap on the Play Store.

Tap on the three dots that will show a drop-down menu and choose My Apps and Games.

Scroll through the list of your apps and look for Maps.

Tap Update.
