Navigate to the WordPress dashboard and click on the "Pages" or "Posts" section. Click on the page or post where you want to display the add to cart button. In the editor, switch to the "Text" tab. Enter the shortcode for the add to cart button - [add_to_cart id=PRODUCT_ID] .

You can enable this setting in WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display. If you do not want to redirect and would really link to see a notification and a link to the cart page, it is best that you disable the Ajax add to basket button by unchecking it. @Lynne Parker (Customer)​ Hi Lynne--You can also remove the Add to Cart button in your store settings, by going to Store Setup>Store Settings>Miscellaneous tab and unchecking the box that says Allow Purchasing? under Advanced Store Settings.
