If you make a purchase with a merchant who uses Square to accept payments in person, over the phone, or through Square Online, the characters SQ* or gosq.com, the merchant's name or business name, and business type will appear on your credit card statement. Charges can appear on your statement in a few different ways.

There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to sign in. Resetting your password is the first step towards regaining access to your account. Click Forgot Password, confirm the email address used to register for Square, and follow the instructions in the email sent to that address.

If you do not process payments through your Square Account for an extended period of time or have not linked a valid bank account, you may have a Balance that is deemed “unclaimed” or “abandoned” under your state's law.
